Numerical analysis of a slope stabilized with piles and anchor cable frame beams

A landslide located in northern Sichuan Province, China was investigated. series of numerical models the stabilized with piles and anchor cable frame beams were developed using a three-dimensional finite-element method. The Strength Reduction Method employed to investigate stability slopes, internal forces piles, axial cables. parametric study consisting pile position, length, spacing carried out. results show that compared beams, combination is more effective retaining structure improve slope stability. During destabilization, proportion thrust shared by gradually increases, while cables decreases. Piles installed on leading edge trail-mode can make mostly stable. As move from leading, middle, trailing edges slope, local instability may occur front pile. Increasing length slope. However, excessive embedded has little effect further improving critical embedment found this 1/3 total 2.5 times width section. Beyond spacing, soil arch between difficult develop share thrust. This provides reference for reinforcement system design engineering projects considering beams.
